Dan,
Did you install the SFR short shift kit and if so how hard of a job was it? If you had it done (if you don't mind me asking) what did it cost? I didn't bother downloading the video, but after reading this thread I kind of feel sorry for those guys who spend all that money installing a Chevy into the 944. Saw TWO at autofest.

The LS1 I was racing was an AUTOMATIC with a 4k stall. He was also brake gasing it as well. I didn't get a good start because I bogged the motor in that race because I was so worried about burning the tires off. Oh well I won either way. Yea its a shame someone would put a chevy motor in a 944 when the turbo motor has so much potential!

Sorry forgot to post about the short shifter. The shifter was a $100 bux from SFR and the Momo knob I used was $60 bux I think. Installation is really easy and took me about 15mins to do. You cannot use the factory shift know with this setup so you will have to purchase an aftermarket one. Pictures of my short shift kit can be seen at here . Just click on #2 951 link and interior mods.

Oh, for you people that couldn't see the video I have it on my server here. If you need the codec for it you can get it here. Connection might be a bit faster than the other if its there at all. What can I say,... Comcast BLOWS.
