944 tach
I have a 1983 944. My tach quit working so I found a used one off of eBay and had it installed. The tach still doesn't work. I'm assuming that it is not the actual tach but some type of electrical issue. Please help if anyone has experienced this type of problem. Thank you in advance. Rod Davis.

But the car starts? it's just that the tachometer doesn't work at all?

944 Tach
Yes, the car runs perfectly except for the Tach. Additionally, the Tach gauge light is on when the headlights are on and goes off when the headlights are turned on.

I meant tach gauge light is on when lead lights are OFF
