Whoa, this is like which is the best oil. There are many opinions. But one opinion that seems to pervade the issue is that platinum plugs are not for turbos.

Stock for both.

Nothing beats replacing cracked and corroded sparking bolt wires with new ones! Check the wire between the coil and dist cap as this corrodes more so that the others.

I bought a really nice set of Blue custom cut wires from "WireWerks" I think they were about $79 and ever have the "Porsche" wording on them. I needed Blue to match my vacuum line and intercooler boots, but they were also larger diameter wires. Nice improvement in spark pulse when I put them on my O-scope.

For plugs - you don't have to spend a mint. I got the Bosch Platinum +4 for $5ish and ...well...they work but I can't feel any difference. Consumer reports said the same thing- "nice plug but but not worth the money".
I've heard a lot of guys like the NGK plats - nice and cheap too!

I have heard that platinum plugs were bad for turbos, but I have never heard an explanation. Could someone explain this to me?
Thanks
