15" wheels over 86 brembos?

So I've heard some mixed and conflicting information when it comes to wheel fitment over the Brembo brakes. Are there any 15" wheels that will fit?

I'll confirm Fuchs will not fit if that helps.

Had 16" 951 offset with a 5mm spacer over them. I believe 930 calipers will work.

No way. I have 16 inch D90s over them and you can about get a playing card between the wheel and caliper.

Agreed if we are talking about 951/S2 Calipers, they are bigger than early 930 calipers.

Early offset cars vrs late are also a factor. If your running D90's Im assuming your late offset.

Anyone with a 951, please take a look in your boot and tell us the size of your spare wheel!!!

The 1st generation Euro-only early-1985 951 had the old square-dash and 15" PhoneDial wheels. Production was halted due to the iron-worker's strike. During that time, Porsche upgraded the 951 along with the 944 into the 2nd generation with new dash. This new 1986 model was released to the U.S. with 16" wheels. But... it was originally designed with 15" wheels.

The problem isn't the diameter, it's the horizontal spacing to the spokes. The following wheels were offered on the 85-86 951 and fit without any problems:

15x7" Phone Dials 951.362.104.00 ET23.3 <-- note 951 part#
16x7" Phone Dials 951.362.114.00/01 ET23.3
16x8" Phone Dials 951.362.116.00/01 ET23.3
16x7" Fuchs 951.362.115.90
16x8" Fuchs 951.362.117.00

I've actually worked on an '86 951 with 15" PhoneDials down in L.A. Also interesting to note that the 16x7/8" 911 Fuchs will not fit on the 951 and hits the brakes (have to use 951-specific Fuchs). However, the 16x9" 911 Fuchs do fit on the rear just fine.
