Testing dash lights / ignition w/o starting motor
I need to test my dash lights and brake wear sensor wire harnesses. if I understand, that means turning the key in the ignition all the way to start the motor - because the lights get reset (I have no idea if that is true)..
What is the simplest way to do this w/o starting the motor? I can see taking out a bunch of fuses/relays/parts (e.g. remove the starter) - but that sounds complicated and also error-prone. This thread I started is related: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-924-944-968-technical-forum/832300-brake-fluid-reservoir-dash-indicators.html |
