Kurt

Excellent summation. The points about the Quit Claim are spot on, as well as future liability. I thank you for saving me the trouble.

You're going in the right direction. I went through a really ugly divorce and through it all I focused on my son and making it as easy on him as possible (considering his parents were breaking up easy isn't really possible). I gave her the house, the furniture, everything except the 944! That was not enough. She always wanted more. I found there is a light at the end of the tunnel and it is not an oncoming train. To make a long story short (don't get me started on PA law) my son is doing great, he's 17 now and we have a really closer relationship than he has with his mom. I'm better off financially now then before the divorce, and I can actually talk to the *itch now without an argument. Oh yeah, it took 10 years but I'm a patient guy.

Porsche content... I have an S2 cabrio now and love it! Much better than the 86 NA I had back then.

Good luck, and keep your chin up. For me it was the most difficult time of my life. Do what FEELS RIGHT in your heart and what you can live with the rest of your life. That's what I used to steer me and it really helped. You will never regret it. One last bit of advice. Forgive your friends and family. They will do stupid things that will *iss you off and make you fell betrayed. They don't mean it. Just pull them aside and set them straight. They will be as unsure what to do as you are.

I know you all are dying to know, so I just wanted to tell you all that I sold my baby yesterday. I took a big loss on it (don't ask how much because it makes me cry) but I am paying off a credit card and paying for the divorce laywer. So now I don't have a Porsche and thus will not be frequenting this site as much. I have really appreciated all your help and the laughs you have given me.

Thanks
Thom

Thom, sorry to hear about your current situation. Hang in there
man, I promise things will get better. Myself, and sounds like some
others on the board, have been there - done that. Anyway, if you need a TURBO fix before you get another 951, just let me know and I will give you a ride in mine.
