944 fiberglass hood value?
 

Hey I have a 944 fiberglass hood with a steel frame painted in guards red in pretty good shape. Only trouble is I don't have a 944 to go with it :(. Anyways I was wondering if anyone could give me an estimate of what it would be worth.

It will depend on where you're located and what someone in your area is ready, willing and able to pay for it because I think shipping will be prohibitive. Post it f/s over in the part forum and see what happens.

yea id rather try and sell it locally first because as you said shipping might be kind of difficult , I was just wondering around how much to ask for it.

Hey I don't have a working scale or a stock 944 hood for comparison, but according to this it should be 25lbs http://members.rennlist.com/emwporsche/weight.JPG.

Stock is 39, my all glass hood is 18.

Hey kenodog , sorry I'm not sure I actually am still selling the hood as there's a 924 I'm looking at next week , but if I don't end up getting it and it's still available I'll send you a messsage .

39? No way, I have been moving a 944 hood around my work shop; its got to be closer to 60.
