Porsche 924s tailgate opener won't work.
It is an 1987 porsche 924s. The tailgate opens with key correctly, but the electric popper only works some of the time. When it comes to the the electrical parts the switch has been tested and it functions correctly. The motor was test also and it functions correctly. The plug on the motor side is getting the 12v to the red wire. And the blue wire gets twelve volts when it is activated like normal then out of no where it no longer gets any power to the blue wire and the motor will then not function. It's not the switch, I don't think it's the motor, and the only thing it might be is the relay. I know it runs through the sunroof/radio/tailgate relay so I was thinking it might be that. My cars sunroof has been deleted but the radio always works.
Any idea's? |

Nope, no relays involved in the rear hatch lock release. Look for a broken wire.

In the manual it shows a wire running directly from the back plug/motor to the sunroof relay. I've checked all the wires but who knows. I think I'm just going to mount a door popper solenoid back there to open it and rewire the front switch to work with it.
