Possible Electrical Issue
Folks, I have been working on my car/fixing misc items of the course of a few months progress has been steady but there is just some much to discover.
This weekend was no execption. I finally moved on to my sunroof motor issue. With messing with the motor assemble i found that the two limiter micro switches where bad. one prong broken off. Replaced and attempted to use. no luck, until after tracked down the relay at the fuse box. Unseated than reseated, than it started to work. But than the car wouldn't start. So i reseated the DME. Than the car started, than shut down. I than pulled fuse panel up from the hole, touch a few wires underneath, than pushed the panel back down. All started working. I at the believe that theres either a short at the panel or some where down the wire harness. But i feel that is closer.( panel). could there be a possible short or burnt connection at the base of the fuse panel?Any suggestions Please |

Anything is possible where electrical components are concerned. I actually disassembled the fuse/relay box and repaired a bad connector inside. I don't recommend anyone take on this approach. There's several layers of copper runs, pins that have to go through 3 layers of boards and figuring out how the connectors to the wiring harness are attached and how to remove them.
It makes more sense to buy another fuse panel online and go from there.
