Looking for a late model HVAC control panel

Our AC in our '91 S2 has always worked and blown very cold.

The other day, it stopped working all together. The fan works, but the compressor does not get triggered with the AC button is pressed.

Also, the light on the AC button does not come on.

Given that this happened suddenly, I don't think its a low freon situation.

Also, with the light not coming on on the switch, it seems to be a faulty switch?

I've looked at the replacement threads, etc. It seems fairly straightforward to swap a new panel in. A little more involved to unsolder and solder a new switch in.

Does anyone have a good used panel they might want to get rid of?

They can be expensive, if I am thinking correctly that you want to replace the panel.
IMHO, it would be worth it to check the freon (92's are r-12), check the relay, and make sure the wire is connected at the compressor clutch. I accidentally pulled mine apart on my 951 one time, thought the compressor went bad as it worked not long before that. Just happened to notice the wire was not connected. Saved a lot-o cash.

A jump of the AC relay to see if the clutch engages would be my first step. You could check resistance across the low pressure switch as well.

If you find that you still need an hvac control panel,I got one in a box of good parts that I will never use. It's off an 86 car and worked great when I removed it. Cheers
