Now it squeaks like an Office Chair!!
What's next? It's in the rear. Today was the first day we cruised with the top up, so we could hear more. I know (almost) that it's the struts. Eeeee-aweee, Eeeee-aweeee. Maybe the mounting points. Don't know if there's a fix for this or not. Can't wait for winter so I can park it and dump a bucket of cash in all these little things!! Ahhhhh, it's a P-car!!!!
On a positive note, no drips and no smell of oil today. Although at one point it didn't want to start. Something about my door locks and alarm system. Did I mention the blinker switch doesn't cancel after the turn. And often the right blinker wont stay on. If this is like most other cars, that means the steering wheel comes off, the switch and wiring harness have to be removed, then the new harness fished down the column,,,,,not to mention the price of the part (if it's still available). Looks like I'll suffer with broken blinker switch!! Nickels and dimes folks. Nickels and dimes!!!

the squeaks are the rubber bits. go to pep boys and get the meguiers purple stuff for rubber, and smear it all over all of the gaskets and such.
adding the chassis braces will eliminate almost all of the chassis flex that creates the noise. BRACES the turn signal will require a new part on the steering column |
