We're looking to replace the instrument panel in my son's 87 N/A. I found one on ebay that came out of an S model, but I'm not sure if it would work in his car. Will it???

The question is, will a 951 work in a 944 or 944S? The only difference is the little MPG meter. Does that have its own special sender or is it merely a hookup on the DME?

As Far as I can tell the MPG/GPH gauge does hook up to the DME and the speedometer. The pin numbers between the "S" and the 944 DME's are different but you would think this is the same signal for both -- the injector delivery rate.
