1986 Porsche wheel size

I have a 1986 Porsche - base model. I am considering purchasing new rims. Can anyone tell me whether 16x8 rims would work? Thanks

Sure 16x8" will work with 23.3mm offset.

You can also use the late-offset 52.3mm wheels, but will need to add a spacer.

There's an error in the 944FAQ in regards to the specs on stock 86 wheels, so don't use that; it'll be confusing.

Yes, but only if the offset is right.

quite high on my want list except freight would be a killer.

that's understandable - If our host had offered them I probably would have ordered them here.

What's the weight on these replica wheels? I take it they're not 1-piece forgings like the originals?
