Opinion wanted on my wheel color
Painted my Fuchs today and I'm interested in people's opinions. My wife hates it, and I did want it to be a darker bronze, but I think it has a cool retro look.
New color: ![]() ![]() Hasn't settled from being jacked up, its not that high lol

Everyone has their own taste when it comes to things like this. Some get downright manic about it but in the final anaysis, it's what you think.....after all, it's your car. Personally, I like it.

I think it looks good. It's unique and can always change it in the future to something else.

Happy Wife- Happy Life- paint them black- there is a reason that Porsche only offered White or Platinum as an optional wheel color.

He is right. Or, should I say, she is right. But I like it. If I saw your 944 cruising down the road, I would tip my cap. It looks beautiful. Gold and red is a great combination. Not just because I am a San Francisco 49ers fan
![]() Seriously. My opinion is it looks good. Fuchs with the silver lip, gold on the red...looks good. Kind of royal maybe. You should be proud. You can spray it darker but give it a minute, you'll see you made a pretty nice choice. But..... (see quote above). Who did the work? Did you spray 'em? I have those same tires and I've been VERY impressed. I made them sing a little today; those tires really do instill confidence. I feel like it's up to the 944 when I turn, I don't feel like the tires ever interject/interpose. Rest of your car looks stellar by the way. How'd you end up with the black side stripes/molding? I could take a moment to say, there a lot of opinions on the internet. Tinted windows are great. Are those 5%/limo? Last edited by 944tothefloor; 11-28-2015 at 10:59 PM.. |

at some point I will paint the street fuchs on my 951, a little scuffed/scratched. plan to consider a color other than black just for the heck of it.
looks good. I run those Hankook tires on my 928, I agree they have been great tires for that car.

while they look close to the color of the original wheels I have on the '86 911, I think black would flatter your 944 better. Maybe leave your center caps gold/bronze..

I really love the polished lip with the black center like in the above pic ^^^^. The gold centers look good, and obviously were done well, I just prefer the black, or a dark grey. My alpine white 85 has the 16" 5 spoke cup wheels with the spacers that I like the look of, but my car belongs to me, and I don't really care about anyone elses opinion.

I like the bronze with a red car, maybe you could paint the flat area around the lug nuts black to set the bronze spoke off a little more from the rest of the wheel.

Personally, I think it looks good. A little bit darker of a bronze might look a hair better. But still, it gives off a 'rally look' which I'm digging.
On the side note, I am shocked at how shiny the lips are on your fuchs wheels. Any tips on polishing / refurbishing those? |

A beautiful job and fantastic colour. Not loving it with the red but I view it the same way I look at art -- don't ask me why I like it I just know that I like it (or not).
