If they are OE parts, did you check PET? Or ask PMNA (Porsche Motorsports North America)? Or Porsche Classic in Germany? The 'cut-off' triangle sticker is pretty common, many MFGs make it.

Just seems like AL wouldn't be strong enough for this. But I guess if it's designed right it could be.

Popular in '70's and '80's in professional motorsports, where, as long as it resembled a rollcage it was considered one. 935s had them as well. The newest case of its use that I know of is the 1990 Carrera C4 Lightweight.
There's a reason they changed and now mandate steel. It goes without saying they are no longer legal.
However, some vintage series allow them on account of originality (only if it is original to the car). Some cars are retrofitted with steel ones, some not. Depends on how they want to feel, I guess! :eek:
