Idle's High When Warm?
My 85.5 generally starts right up - is a little rough for about fifteen seconds...then smoothes out and idles at around 900 rpm.
After driving to warm things up - the idle runs at a consistent 1250 rpm. - TPS seems good, although there is a bit of slack in the throttle cable, since I installed a circular cam, which I cannot seem to fix. - Voltage fairly consistent at around 13.8. - Temperature generally just above first mark on gauge, up just a bit when sitting in traffic, fans come on at just below second (white) mark - cools off nicely. - Oil pressure at 5 bar when cool, then runs between 2 and 5 bar (depending on load/rpm's) when warm. - All grounds recently cleaned. So I'm thinking...vacuum leak? Throttle cable needs adjusting? Any other ideas? |

Light vac leak, or maybe your idle bypass screw is a little too open.

I'd start with replacing the DME temp sensor first. It's the one with the blue cap on top front of the engine. Then, do the procedure outlined in the Clarks Garage using jumper on the diagnostic port for adjusting idle, after the engine is warmed up. Also check for loose vacuum connections, especially under the J boot where it's hard to see.
