I took my car to the brake and muffler shop that did the CAT,...
One side of the muffler hook broke off, so i took the car to get it welded back on. I got there and the guy saw me and the car. He had this huge smile on his face and said, "You got the car running?" He was really impressed with the work I did. So, I pulled the car into the garage and the mechanics LOVED the car!!! They were all over it. One of the mechanics had a 944. He really loved it.

Well done on the rebuild, there's nothing better than driving a car you've rebuilt yourself.
So hows she running? Did you get rid of that clicking noise? Have you dared to drive it hard yet? Mark |

Dude, the car idles so good that I found myself starring at the tack watching the needle in awww. Seriously! The only thing is that the car still has some trouble staring up when cold. I cant figure this one out. I has to be somthing simple or small because the car starts up great when even just a tid bit warm. I dont understand. Anyways, about my selling the car,... some people were meant to turbo charge and some aren't. I am
I want my 951!!! Nothing is going to stop me. I have not drivin the car hard yet although I REALLY want to. I want to have to timing belt double checked. I bought the timing belt tool but and not the calibrating bar. I assumed the timing belt tool was already calibrated. I tensioned the timing belt and saw that the water pump roller could be spun under the timing belt. I didnt like that at all. So I tightened it just a little bit more to keep that roller snug. I really shouldnt be driving it but I had to get it on the road a bit. I have it parked now until I get the bar and atleast check it with the tool after I know the tool has been calibrated correctly. I think I might even take it to a porsche dealer to have them double check me and give some tips on tensioning properly. I also have to change out the tranny fluid in the car. I had put 85w in when it was like 100 degrees out here.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong...but on the turbo models, is torque compromised? I mean, instead of torque all around in a n/a, wouldn't the turbo be more 'hit and run'?
I've not driven a turbo, but I'm just trying to be logical.....or shall i stop?

Yo, talked to one of the guyz at pelican about the injector caps and he said none of them are going to fit. He said the manual says to use only the o-rings. What the hell does that mean? I'm suppose install and run the injectors with out the caps?

7500 - 8000 no less,... I know you can get a 951 for that but, if your not obsessed with having loads of power but dont want bottom of the line. You can have my "S" in great condition. I have a guy at the hospital thats is interseted in the car. He was looking a to buy 911 but is worried about the maintence costs so I gave him the whole run down and he said he was looking to buy a 944 but people were asking to much for what they are selling. I asked him to explain. Alot of the 844 he was looking at were like $6000 - 8000 but were in rat **** condition. I told him well,....
I have a beautiful "S" in almost perfect condition. I am going to bring it in to show him. I know for fact that his mouth is going to drop. I want to take him for a test run though, scare the pants off him The thing is that i dont know how much of an enthusiast he is. He knew stuff but not alot. I dont want him to wreck my ****. I put to much time into this to sell to someone that isnt going to take care of her. I could of let her dire but didnt. Everything I did would be for nothing if I sold to a nobody. So it is going to be more of an interview If I do take him out in the car. Seriously. Oh, I'll be willing to take anyof you for a test run in the car Zoltan drove it when it was dirty and dying and now thats it perfect,..... it's great.
