Aluminum Radiator for 87 951 (eBay)

Hey friends, So I purchased a All Aluminum Radiator from eBay for my 87 951, Needless to say it does not fit, and is in fact thinner then stock. I am returning the Radiator and just getting a stock one. Cost $240 shipped, but now its apparent why it is so cheap. Even with the Rubber support Mounts removed from the upper and lower sections, it will will not fit. This is hopes help people in the future.

I've seen them on eBay and they are from China. The land of F**KED UP measuring devices. They can't even get the dimensions right on things they copy... These damned plastic reservoir radiators are designed to fail anyway.

Lol yeah, I think their eyes are crossed too often, my stock radiator lasted me over 11 years, and it was the same radiator that was in the car when i got it, so i feel i was able to get some good years out of it ^_^

Best one I have ever seen (and still own) was an all aluminum one made by Griffin. I even bought it used off this forum and still am running it. Fit like a glove. May get lucky and contact them to see if they are still made.

Those welds are straight on hilarious.

Compare to Ron Davis Radiators (USA):

Lindsey Racing sells all aluminum ones for a little more than $600. Tempting.. And they 'effin' fit.

I'll take it off your hands for $Free.99

What is the overall height/width/depth of the unit?

I bought one from China on ebay that someone from Rennlist had recommended and although it wasn't a Ron Davis quality piece, it wasn't terrible(I am a Tig welder). The biggest challenge was getting the fan to mount properly. And it fit. It was 300$(Can funds)shipped and so far so good.

Now those are proper welds indeed, I weld Steel, no aluminum yet, but I do understand the importance of proper heat transfer and stacks.
