Unknown purpose of extra wires on my 924s
I recently did a fog light install on my 924s and ran new wiring through the dash all the way to the front of the car for the new lights. Only after this was done did I realize there were existing wires already in the front. Can anyone tell me what these wires are for and if they can be used for the fogs?

The 924S comes pre-wired for fog lights.
If that pair of wires is (1) brown and (1) white/yellow tracer, then those are for the fog lights - you will find another pair on the other side. To utilize the factory wiring, you will need a few things: a) 16A Fuse installed in fuse position 15 b) Either the factory fog light relay ($$), or two standard mini-DIN 5-pin relays installed in the double relay socket under the dash (over the DME) c) Factory fog light switch mounted in place of the removable blanking plate over the oil pressure gauge (mating plug is behind the blanking plate). Factory switch has a built-in indicator. d) Pair of fog lights with H1 or H3 bulbs No other wiring required
