*****... Dropped my tool.

Well, it finally happened.

Dropped my 9201. Knocked it way out of calibration. cannot adjust it to maintain a constant reading with the calibration bar.

*****, *****, *****!

Bad luck. Sorry to hear.

The cheapest replacement price I know of is $364 + shipping.

My belt adjusting tool went to sleep the other day. Shouldn't be any problems though as the blood flow returned as soon as I changed position.

Yeah, you can get them recalibrated - for about the cost of a new one.

Will probably be ordering one in the next couple of weeks.

AF, I bought mine direct from the manufacturer in Germany, they do repairs and calibrations, try faxing them for a quote. This tools is also used on BMW and Volvo so it should be repairable.

Of course, these were the same manufacturers who cashed the payment and never sent the tool.......until I had to call them...

Is it possible to replace guage with a standard indicator? You will have to convert due to the different graduations but, should give you consistency.

I've wondered about this myself. I dropped my tool several month ago and broke the center pin. I wanted to look into getting it repaired.

The guy (in Germany) to send it to for repairs is listed in the 944 shop manual. I just haven't had time to contacting him to see what repairing it would cost.

Regards,
