Where to get a flywheel lock
I remember seeing a post where someone said you can get a flywheel lock for around $20-30. Anyone know where I can find one? While I'm asking about tools, any suggestions for a pin spanner (not sure what is the "proper" name) used to remove the rollers?
Thanks! |
Depending on your time frame I could loan you my spanner and my flywheel lock.
But I can tell you that I found both on Ebay for about $40 total. |
The flywheel locks is to keep the engine at tdc ?
the prcie of a new one in diferent catalog are at $39.00 |
I'd recommend the factory one, I have and seen the aftermarkets used and they don't hold tdc, the factory one does, I couldn't believe that someone had difficulties copying it. You've got to turn the crank a little bit before or after tdc, not at it. Just my experience, and I'd doubt that all of the aftermarket ones are like the few I've seen.
