Angry Whabba Whabba sound

Whabba Whabba sound! I just had my tires rebalanced thinking it would take care of this noise in the back of my car (primarily behind the drivers seat). It didn't do the trick. Any thoughts?

Or Scott Baio.
Does this noise occur when you accelerate or just coast?.. does it occur when you are braking?.. can you feel the car thumping?..

All the time. Speeds up as I accelerate. Some thumping especially around 60-70 MPH.

Could be something bent, or possible cv joints? My cvs were just starting to go when I replaced them so I don't know what sound they make when they are going.

DO NOT GOT 60-70 MPH WITH THE CAR MAKING BAD SOUNDS!!!

If it's there whenever to car is moving it could be your tranny. Mine was making some weird sounds whenever the car was moving and they would not go away. I took it out to my shop, put the car up on the hoist and ran it. I noticed that my half shafts were dancing around underneath the car as I drove. I pulled my tranny and I had a bad tranny. The carrier (peice that holds diff. in place) was cracked. Expensive to fix.

You been doing any drag racing by chance??? How about burn-outs? Launches?

Check your tire tread for irregularities. But the folks who balanced the wheels for you would have noticed something.

Also: make sure the lug nuts are torqued to 96 lb-ft.

How many miles do you have on your CV-joints? (Note: if CV joints start to fail, they would be making a clicking sound, not a whabba whabba sound.)

Rub?

Is something rubbing up against your tires? A mud shield, perhaps? Is there the appropriate amount of oil in the gear box?
