Holy crap.... Butchered

Whoever was the last person to work on this car was a complete butcher. There are vaccuum lines off, one of which goes to the fuel regulator. The Fuel rail is missing a bolt, one of the lead wires was pinched by the fuel rail.... goes on and on... grrrr....
One question, I think I found my fuel problem. One of the injectors is leaking a bit. Looks like the seal is gone. Is it possible to get just the injector seals, or would I have to get a new injector?
I'll tell you guys one thing... when this car are finally fixed right... I will have one helluva story

Again, thanks for all the help you guys have given me. Makes a world of difference.

The seals can be picked up anywhere..... some places sell them in bulk....

Or order it from the dealer... cheap. I am finding that the seals are actually quite cheap (bad quality)....they break down quickly over time..

Everytime you pull the fuel rail you can wear/damage them...so a lot of guys replace them every time they pull the rail...

Just don't drive it with it leaking....an engine fire is a HUGEEE possibility....

You may as well replace them all....

Mine has the same problem as yours, everything being butchered that is. Check Tweeks, Pelican Parts, and Porsche Performance for your gasket, I'm sure somebody will have it.

Pick up some dialectric grease to lubricate the o-rings to prevent from damaging them and to promote a good seal.

More of the same here. Does anybody have used AC compressor and power steering belt tensioners to sell?

Bubba the butcher mechanic apparently worked on the car before my time and I found farm-type aluminum turnbuckles as tensioners, lots of odd washers and 3/8" bolts down there. The mounting holes are stripped and oval, a general mess.

Well, it looks like I won't get her back on the road till tomorrow (hopefully) I was changing the balance shaft belt today and when I was removing the rubber induction hose from the MAF to the throttle body, it ripped almost all the way around and now it doesn't seem to want to start. Catches for a second or 2 but then dies right away. Would this cause the car not to start? Also, does the balance shaft need to be set up at all, like the timing, or can I just put the belt on if the engine has moved with it off?
Thanks

The guy who gave me his car (owed me money) worked for the Butcher Brothers (Ruff Nation Records).

I am a new member and busy reading all of the posts and am submitting replies (questions) to quite a few. My rebuild project involves a car that was neglected and an insurance write off from fuel rail fire. The A/C compressor and lines were missing from the car when I got it. I want to run the car w/o A/C. How do I hook up the alternator and belt w/o A/C compressor? Also how does the power steering pump/belt tensioner bolt into place? Haynes manual doesn't provide good photos or instructions in regards to A/C and power steering pump.
