9 Wire Square White Connector ???

Early 944 - 1985

This connector was unplugged awhile back after noticing some rat damage to several of the wires. I cannot remember what it was plugged into originally? This is located along the right side of the steering column.

I was able to get this one from a wrecking yard since mine was messed up right at the plug.

The only thing I found under the dash that doesn't have anything plugged into it is this relay-

But it only has 4 pins and there are 9 wires in this square white connector so I'm not sure where this square plug goes ???

Anybody have any thoughts/ideas ???

Thanks,

Bimmerod

Please type the relay # into the search on this forum. See what happens.

Thanks for the suggestion but I have done many searches on many forums.

One thread about it and that doesn't help me figure out where the connector plugs into ?

Any other ideas ?

Can I look on my car for you, or does it need some disassembly to answer. Your comment "along the right side of the steering column" confused. Is it inside the column, or in the dash next to the column, etc. I'll go take a look in my 84 if you can let me know with clarity where it is. Sorry you're going through it.

That connector plugs into the Sunroof/Radio Relay (9 pins).

The relay is actually attached under the dash (metal part of the car). It is held on b y a small plastic acorn nut. It's kinda tough to see since it is under the vent hose going to the drivers side vent.

Can you please let me know where that is located ?

I cannot seem to find anything that isn't plugged it. It doesn't seem like that wire harness would reach all the way over to the relay box.

Let me know.

Awesome, thanks for that.

I looked through my old box of parts and located the relay. I couldn't remember what was plugged into that plug originally.

Good news is that my sunroof works now but my old Blaupunkt radio has power going to it but does not turn on.

Guess it's time to add something new anyways.

Cheers.
