Hey. Just as an fyi new ones are currently available for less than this. Not sure if yours is a 80s original or one of the remakes but still. Most people would buy a new one first I would think..m

I don't know. First I hear of the new batch having issues. I've had a few over the years can't chime in on new ones. Maybe someone else can.

No issues with the new tops, there was a fastener/washer update they sent out if requested, I have it laying here - mine never needed it. Ive had this style framed version as well - no issues with either. This one looks to be tinted grey which is nice vs. the bronze tint lots of them had.
