Pelican Parts Forums - 944 / 951 2.5 to 2.7 sleeved block FS

This is a block I picked up but have not installed. I’m going a different route with my engine build.

Block is from an 86 944 or 944 turbo. It was a 2.5, bored out and sleeved with steel or iron sleeves. I do not know who did the work. It was inspected by a machine shop in Columbia, and the sleeves were deemed to be nice and round. 104 mm inside diameter, which makes this now a 2.7 block. If I was to install it, I would have a shop flange the bottom of the sleeves, and hone them. These were the recommendations of the machine shop.

Short block includes the matching girdle and balance shaft covers, but no other parts. $650. Local pick up preferred, but can ship at Buyers expense.
