Gearbox/Transaxle needed for 88NA
Does anyone have a good gearbox/transaxle for an 88NA?
I'm looking at one that has a damaged gearbox, but the rest of the car is in nice shape. Let me know what you've got and how much you want. Thanks!

I may be interested in this. Is the gearbox from the car you list with 194K on the odometer or a different vehicle, and if so how many miles are on it? Do you know the condition of the gearbox, i.e., does it shift through all the gears smoothly? Also, what does your comment about the 5th gear refer to, is it a special gear ratio? Are you selling just the gearbox or are you including any other parts, i.e. pressure plate, flywheel, clutch?
Sorry for not replying sooner, I was on vacation for a couple weeks and I'm hopefully going to look at the car today or tomorrow. Thanks!

just in case you can use an older one, I have one that's on a running '83 944 right now with about 110k miles on it. The transaxle shifts pretty smoothly. I can also include the flywheel, p/p, and clutch (supposedly has only a few hundred miles according to the P/O) for $500/shipped.
