WTB: Bare Block, Short Block, bad engine
 

I'm in the process of building up another engine for the 944 for next year, and one of the bores in my block is scored. So, if anyone fairly near Wisconsin has a bare block, a short block, or an engine that's gone bad and you've pulled let me know what you have, where you are and what you want for it. Broken timing belts and rod knocks welcome.

944 NA or 924s, any year.

Unknown yet but I may have a engine for you. What is your top dollar?

Top dollar depends on what you have and it's condition.

The engine will be for a track car - I'll be putting in new bearings no matter what it is. I also have a few heads ready to go so a fresh head isn't all that important to me.

How badly is it scored? Could not you bore the cylinders to 100.50 mm for oversized piston?

I have a complete engine in a basket I aqm pretty sure that one sliped a timming belt and bent a valve and broke a seat. I also have a complete engine with #2 rod bearing spun and the crank scored.
