Do you need to borrow one for testing, or do you know yours is bad and need a replacement?

is there a way to test? i have two but i was told they are bad.

The easiest way to test one is to put it in a known functioning car.
I keep a couple of spares at the shop to swap into a car if it has a suspect DME.

Where are you located? Perhaps there is a local Pelican that can help out. I would post a thread in the 944 tech board to see if there is someone near you that could plug your DME into their car to test.

if you are stuck, i have a spare dme for 1984 944. its the original one for my car. i kept it after i got another dme modded to the FR.WILK chip etc.
