Koni adjustable front strut cartridges
I have a pair of nla koni adjustable front strut cartridges for your early 944 to 1/85 or 924S to 1988
Very good condition. Will sell for $200 pair shipped or trade for later pair that will fit my 86 I think dansvan is correct. I've tried to track down what they are and it seems they are factory non adjustable sports. Again, according to p/n it says that they only fit to Jan of 1985 production 944... I'm going to reduce to $140 shipped, if anyone wants them tom Bamsport tom bamsporthttp://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1350481333.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1350481344.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1350481354.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1350481383.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1350481394.jpg |
Why won't they work in your 86? Is it a turbo?
|
The link says fits only to january of 85 production date for 944 na. Mine is an 86......

Do they need to be rebuilt? Shouldn't they be extended unless they're blown?
|
How do these adjust? I don't see the pins on the top that you'd normally put the knob on to adjust them.
|
These are Koni "adjustable" p/n 94434305900 they seem to be very good shape as they are very hard to push in or pull out. I don't know how they adjust.

Im pretty sure those WILL work on your 86' I have Konis on mine (86) that came off a 924s. That weird they say adjustable, when there's no knob on top. Is it just a allen head there? Got a pic of the tops?

Are they OEM konis that came on a sport package 944. That would make them non gas pressurized and non adjustable if I understand all this correctly.
|
They have written on them "adjustable" They have an allen head on top... Part number lookup here on Pelican details fitment.

I actually have a set of these in my '84. These were a Porsche factory replacement and are, indeed, adjustable. They must be fully compressed to engage the adjuster, then they can be adjusted, iirc, to one of four different settings. The adjustment procedure is detailed in the FSM on pg. 40-9.

They are supposed to be gas charged. All gas charged shocks I've seen extend all the way out under no load. These don't look like they do. More info? Very interested.
|
I'm not sure they are gas over hydraulic. I have red konis that are but these don't have any info that they are gas. Just hydraulic... This is all the info I have.

When I put your part number in Pelican search it says they are gas. Maybe low pressure?
