NASCAR Rad. FS: Dim's
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Here are the dim's At the widest point width = 29 1/2" at the oil cooler At the bottom and top 27" width Tall 18" Core thickness 4" (it's called a) (14 fins per inch) on each horizontal core row - that makes it one heck of a heat transfer - u get the best rad. made. This is a double cross over rad... as u can see by the alum. weld beads on the sides of the rad and oil cooler... in other words the inlet is at the top then it goes down about 1/2 way and reverses flow and goes across and exits the same side that it came in on this is a perfect way to cool and stabilize your oil temps and coolant. Thanks for the question. Ron 859-653-8477 PS: I also have the NASCAR over flow Alum. Tank with AN fittings... if u want some pic's just e-mail me. r.kirby@fuse.net __________________ 951

radiator
How do the hoses from a 944 turbo get routed to this? I know the large inlet and outlet hoses but on the Turbo radiator is that third hose that goes into the radiator above the outlet hose which is on the bottom passenger side and the thin hose from the expansion tank cap area to the barb above the inlet hose. Or is this only for 944 N/As?

Just do away with the cross over pipe... the water to cool the turbo would be routed from the water pump sm. thermo fitting on the side of the water pump for the return from the over flow tank just weld bung into the radiator.

PS: You could also use the over flow NASCAR Tank I have to route the turbo discharge line back to the radiator?

Yes, I didn't even think about welding a bung for the cross over water pipe. For the hose from the expansion tank cap area, you could just drill a small hole in the radiator and screw that plastic connection in with hi temp RTV and I bet that would work fine

HI..."NOPE"... at a pressure cap at 16#'s - 20#'s PSI, I would only weld in a bung for the return line from the expansion tank.

You'd have to have a tube/custom front end to fit this in a 944.
944 rad frame is maybe 25" max width and on a 951, under 15" high. |
