1981 Porsche 928 manual, engine removal

Hi all
I am quite new to 928 (911 and 914 man..), but I'm helping out a buddy in our workshop. We try to take out his engine since one of his connecting rods has broken....
He has dismanteled every thing, but we don't get the engine loose. After som time on google etc (workshop manuals) I have an idea that it is the clamping sleeve on the drive shaft behind the clutch that is the problem. We get it almost out of the sleeve, but not far enough. Reading the manuals, it says that we have to push the sleeve back on the drive shaft. The problem is that there is a socket bolt that is "impossible" to get into in the rear end of the sleeve. We get out the bolt nearest to the clutch, but not the one behind.. What do we do? Am I on right track? Any way to reach the bolt head ? All help is appreciated

Thanks

Alfy,
I believe the complete clutch pack must be removed to remove the engine. Make sure to follow the directions in the manual about the removal.

Thanks!
I have gone through the work shop manual, and I have not found anything about removing the clutch pack there. Just to loosen the sleeve around the drive shaft. I found another forum post about the same, and removing the clutch was also mentioned there.

Best reagards
