ATTENTION 928ers!!
I am from the 914 section, however I have a question for you folks. I have a friend who works in a storage rental facility where there have been 2 abandoned 928 engines inside. I realize these are probably worth only as cores. What are they worth?? I need to know before I pick them up by tomorrow!!!
Thanks for the help in advance, Mike |

Do you know what years they are? The earlier 4.5 and 4.7 liter cars typically aren't worth as much as the later 5.0 liter engines.

I know there are 2 different style blocks. The difference I saw between the two were in the heads. One had flat top heads, and the other had a hump (most likely for the cam) on them. What is a ball park figure for the earlier and later style??
Thanks, Mike |

Here's a 4.5L engine ($1,500 used retail value):
Here's a 4.7L engine ($2,000 used retail value) Here's an '85-'86 5.0L engine ($2,500 retail value): Here's a 87-91 5.0L engine ($4,500-$5,500): The 92-95 GTS 5.4L engine ($8,500 value) looks the same as the '87-91 engine. |
