"the Baroness" don't wanna start....

AAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHHH !!! My '84 Euro will turn over and over, but don't wanna catch and start. The usual suspects (fuses and relays) appear to be o.k. Although I haven't replaced the fuel pump relay yet. What else, short of giving the local Hun mechanic a body appendage and my 1st born, could I check? tanxs man

Can you hear the fuel pump running? You should be able to hear the buzzing noise below the passenger side tailight (key in the "start" position).

If the pump is running, check for spark plug/wire problems.

What have you done to the car recently? Did it just stop running without you having done anything to it?

Tanxs for the reply Iggy...turned out to be the fuel pump relay anyway. I got off work early today and replaced it. "the Baroness" fired right up and was a very happy camper. Now i can get back to restoring her.

'tis hit and miss stifekat...I'm still bouncin' the web, doin' my homework, gathering as much info as possible. Check out Iggy's website. Cool links there. As fer drivin' other cars with the same hp. Well, 'ummm, sure. A few years back, before I retired from the Navy, I owned a '69 Chevelle SS with a 550 hp 454 ci. Sadly, someone decided they wanted her more than I. Haven't seen her since, LOL.
