10k mi 87 AT on ebay
Certainly an interesting string of cars to hit the market, this one is sitting at a dealer in I think PA, who is expecting the price to take off.

Publicly everybody is gungho on low mileage, but privately I've been warned away from them. 928's do NOT like to sit, especially if not prepared for storage or stored in a good environment. A LOT of low mileage cars are from some guy that buys one, either the car or the owner pops a widget, and not driving it for a week, turns into a month, then a year, then its a low mileage car at an estate sale.
OTOH all that said, the only thing money can't fix is high mileage, you have to buy it car with low mileage to end up with low mileage. 50k to 85k with a recent history of being driven and maintained for at least the last couple years is the sweet spot I would like to find.

Requests for low mileage replacement clusters, speedos, etc. are pretty common, so I hear. Some guys on ebay were selling a odometer setting "tool" that worked on the digital dash models too, but my understanding is a rollback is trivial on earlier models as well as just stopping the odometer for a few years.
90% of mileage is resale value, but its effect there is undeniable. Service records, and Carfax or Autocheck are what I would want to see first, but how much effort is reasonable in documenting the mileage would depend on how extraordinary the mileage claims were. 10k miles I am sure will get a hard look. How about checking the O2 sensor tracking relay, comparing it to the odometer? Bottom line for me on mileage is what I can expect a reasonable buyer to think a few years down the line if I need to sell it. Otherwise I am all about condition regardless of mileage.
