Alternator Not charging/engine runs rough/rich
 

My alternator light does Not come on when my ignition switch is turned on, car is definatly running off battery alone. lights are dime. Has new bosch alternator 6 months ago. Engine runs rough and has rich extaust smell.

I wonder if my alternator not charging would also be related to the rough running and rich ext smell?

Any ideas?

Disconnect and charge the battery, no need to guess. Fully charged I don't think the alternator running or not would be an issue.
