87 S4 38k, about the nicest I've seen on ebay (SoCal)
I can't believe Chris is selling this S4 for a 993TT, but here it is on ebay.
I looked at it while it was at Precision having Greg bring all the PM fully up to date. Its like a freaking new car, not just clean, but the its never been dirty type of look. I can only guess what the bidding will go to, but in this case, whoever gets it, gets a bargain regardless of price. **** From the Rlist thread looks like Chris is looking for $23k.

Nice car however "a bargain regardless of price" is slightly over the top. Are you saying that car would still be a bargain for say 35k ? Because I would NEVER pay more than 18-20k for that car even if I wanted it, and I don't want it so no biggie. I just don't get the bargain regardless of price, especialy when you are talking about 928's.
It is a well sorted car though worth top dollar for the 928 market and 23k is within reason, although I would never pay that much for auto. A 5 speed in that condition yes but not an auto. That's just me.... The right buyer will be getting a very nice car!

If it was a 5 spd we wouldn't be talking about Chris's car, we would be talking about MY car and it would not be for sale even at $35k.
![]() OK, maybe we would at $35k, but I would be very unhappy on my way to the bank. ![]() Not all cars for all people, but for a person that wants a pristine low mileage driver, the price would have to get a bit silly before this one isn't a bargain, because cars like this are RARE. I don't know about you, but if I found "exactly" what I was looking for in this condition I would be more than a little flexible on the purchase costs. Funny how each "tick" away from exactly what we want reduces what we would pay. Alex from Rlist is local and has his 87 5 spd LSD car for sale at $8k, but its about 5 ticks away from what I really want, so I can't even think about it with two in the driveway. OTOH I am kind of thinking how my wife might like Chris's car ... (hitting self on head, bad thought, bad thought).
