HELP: Removing front brakes

I'm replacing the brake pads & discs.

I can only get 1 of the 4 countersunk bolts off to remove the discs (2 bolts per wheel - on the faceplate of the disc after you've removed the wheel).

I've tried WD40 to lubricate, but no joy.

Any ideas? Will tapping it anywhere help? Will I have to drill them out?

I've stocked up on several penetrating oils, WD40, PB Blaster, Kroil, Liquid Wrench, and a few more still to go like the GM stuff.

Here are a couple threads.

An impact screwdriver will get those out every time (the kind you hit with a hammer). Here's an example of one:

Yep, what they said. Impact screwdriver. If you don't want to buy one. Take a screwdriver and hold it in a pair of chanel lock pliers. Hold some steady pressure in the counter clockwise direction and start tapping it with a hammer. The larger the hammer the better. You'll get it out.

You can also try some heat...that may help. The impact screwdriver is a must to really get them off though.

Thanks all,

Heat applied with a heat gun, gave it a whack, and got them all off.
appreciate the help. Will need an impact screwdriver for sure though now.

Use some never sieze on them before you reinstallation. It will keep you from having this issue ever again. The bottom of the head needs to be lightly coated as well as the threads.

Impact screwdriver is cheap, everybody should have one, and even better remember that they have it. ;)
