That would be another development altogether for the 86! But it can certainly be done.

I know it's been said before, but it seems like adapting the S4 manifolds to the '85-'86 US should only require slight modifications since the block is basically the same and the stock exhaust manifold differences are very minor. I just went to inspect the '89 engine I have on my stand. I don't think the steering or motor mounts are any different between the early and late 32v either. What changes would have to be made on the hot side again?

The flanges are different on the heads...I would need a set of dummy heads to pull it off. I'm certain it can be done though.

86

I am another 86 928s guy who is following your posts avidly. Please find a way to adapt your system to the 86! I know this has been a lot of time and effort on your part but I am willing to wait for this kind of a performance boost.

I'll keep the 86 stuff in mind. It is such a shame there are 3 basic engine configurations for the 928...it makes my job a lot harder if I want to offer something to them all. The big hitters are the 3-flange headed 32V cars and the 2 flange headed 16V cars.

Fabrication of the manifolds is straight forward but the system would have to be integrated into the earlier chassis to be done right.

Fittment

Pardon my lack of knowledge, but what years will your current setup fit?

87 S4 based and up...some years require slightly different attention to detail.

A 95 5-spd GTS with the twins...I've been thinking about one of those lately. I wonder how much my S4 twin turbo could fetch?
