Windshield Wiper Squirters
So, only one orifice on one squirter is working. I tried the sewing needle clean-out and that didn't help.
I'm getting a tiny, tiny amount out of them, but that's it. I pulled the supply line running to the passenger side opening in the hood and it squirted strong. So, any suggestions? Is there a stop valve somewhere that needs to be cleaned. How do the hoses run? Thoughts? Michael |
Yes there is a one way valve for each washer nozzle - just replece them they are pretty inexpensive.

and if you're wondering where the valves are, check out the lower halve of this: http://members.rennlist.com/sharkskin/Pages_SA_R15-RadiatorAndWashers.htm
Mine does the same, so I'm in there this weekend as well (or if I can find a brightly-lit parking space during the week). |
I think a lot of Porsche owners let the washers rot because they don't want to get the car wet.

You guys rock. Looks like I have my weekend project. Hopefully I can get the valves from most auto parts stores.

928intl and pelican I think both have them, mine have Porsche part numbers IIRC so not too likely on the Autozone. VW shop might also have them.
As soon as I touched it the two hose in/out connector into the hood broke on mine, so you might want one of those too. What kind of hose you thinking of using? I bought all my parts, but haven't decided on fancy hose or not, so haven't started yet. |
