Looking to share a spot in the SoCal Porsche swap meet announced
I just read this,
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/announcement.php?f=15 Its too local for me to think about missing, Costa Mesa, Cal, but I know I won't have all the much stuff to take a full space. My thought is that maybe several of us 928 types could share one or two spots, PM or post if your interested. |

I've got a lot and its growing, Stuff out of the 84 Euro includes full exhaust, auto trans, set of wheels and tires, torque tube, maybe seats, body parts.
Dunno on the details, but I wasn't thinking of parking multiple vehicles in the swap area, more like putting down a tarp, setting up a table or two, filling it up and parking outside. I figure test for interest before I worry about practical. |

I drove out to the Ventura show in (Sept?) and meeting some vendors and seeing a lot of nice cars was good, the 928 content was tiny.
Right now none of my cars are running, but I am getting the itch to drive one someplace. |

Or just see if a more 928 centered event can be cooked up.
Be kinda weird if 6 truck loads of 928 parts show up and no buyers. |

I emailed the contact in the announcement, but no info on who comes, just a come early and you can get a space if its early enough.
SoCal 928 guys are planning on meeting at the 2/16 coffee and something at the Ford/Mazda parking lot just west of the 405/5 Y in Irvine, followed by a clinic on vacuum trouble shooting. http://carsandcoffee.info/main.html HVAC Vacuum System Clinic -- 2/16 in Irvine http://groups.msn.com/socal928/general.msnw |

Saturday might work, that way I can make the Calabasas meet Sunday morning. Is this the new location for the now defunct Crystal Cove meet of some years back? Since this is at a Ford dealership, I might as well drive the Fairmont.
Whoa, I just noticed, this is EAST of the 405, c'mon dangle, you know the rules.... Last edited by arclight53; 02-08-2008 at 10:42 AM.. |

I don't have a lot of brain cells to spare this morning, and now I am using some of them to try and remember where this place is relative to the 405 and 5 junction. Looks like its "in" the Y, you could always park your car south of the 405 and walk.
Its not a dealership, its the corporate offices, with a parking structure and big ground level parking area empty on weekends. Each Saturday the focus is on a different make, but thats just the focus, unless it fills the 400 spots in the display lot like I think Porsche and Ferrari days do. |

Yeah, wayne at Pelican says that the 928s and 944s are underrepresented at these events.
