Euro S intakes tubes several flavors

80 to 83 Euro S intake tubes (on the spider) are made for the screw in type CIS injectors. 84 to 86 Euro S are LH type injectors with barbed fuel ends with hoses, and come in two versions casting number ending in 1R and 2R. 2R the only difference I see is that cylinders 2 and 7 have a tapped fitting for a temperature sensor.

1R casting without tapped spot for a sensor.

This 1985 intake, note only #2 and #7 are 2R.

Shot of the sensor fitting, but without a sensor. #2 is where it would go though.

It's a temperature switch, to turn on the A/C fan at reduced speed, to cool the intake.

Slow speed resistor is in front of the radiators, on the US passenger side, white ceramic, round with two wires.

Thanks Porken.

Is it part of the engine front harness that goes to the 14 pin? *** pins 12 and 13.

Euro part I show as 928 606 218 00
US part as 928 606 217 00
but I never found any info on the switch value or a Behr etc part number.

I'm tempted to skip it for now, rather that swap out the intake tube, and look for a different way to make sure the intake doesn't get too hot. I wonder what header wrap would do for the intake tubes?
