vacuum
Does anyone know how much vacuum a US 4.5L CIS engine should pull at idle? I can't find a spec in the manuals.

That seems kind of high for a V8. I'm pulling 15 inches now. The motor is rebuilt with a custom set of gapless piston rings. The baseline before I tore the motor down was about 9 inches. With the new rings I was expecting more vacuum, but I don't have a factory baseline as a reference point.

My $30 pillar gauge could be wrong.
