WR5DC vs WR5DC+?

I ordered some different heat range plugs recently and they sent me WR5DC+ instead of WR5DC, should I have any concerns using them?

*** I bought 5, 6, and 7 to play around with.

One is a Super and the other is a Super Plus.
AFASIK they are the same heat range but the plus is better so they can charge more for it 8>)

I just bought some new plugs for my '81 and got WR8DC+..I think in Bosch speak "C" is copper core, and C+ is the new copper core with yittritium or some such metal

Danglerb 08-19-2008 12:10 PM

Specifically I am wondering if anybody has had issues with the C+ like have shown up with the platinum and Platinum plus plugs?

Lack of negative makes me assume they are OK. ;)

well i wont be much help there because i just installed them and my throttle body is still out of the car. I just got an email from Tom at 928 international that those darn rubber screw mounts are backordered from Germany and will be 5-6 weeks...guess i can go back to the interior for a while

Danglerb 08-19-2008 12:55 PM

You can also just glue in new rubber bits, or talk to Roger?

surfdog4 08-19-2008 01:02 PM

well i have a friend with a BMW bike and he thinks it may use the same part..we;ll check tomorrow

sonett3 08-19-2008 01:15 PM

Yes there are for a motorcyle.

sonett3 08-19-2008 01:16 PM

Napa has them.

Danglerb 08-19-2008 01:39 PM

******** had them for $1.84 each, and I was ordering 3 sets, plus a bunch of this and that for my Mustang.

Porken says the WR5DC are working well for him, cooler allowing more advance, so I plan to give them a try when I put the Sharktuner on my 85 Euro.

ROG100 08-19-2008 06:05 PM

I have the parts in stock but if I can buy them for a couple of $ I am all ears.
Care to share the part numbers?

surfdog4 08-19-2008 06:27 PM

are we talking about the rubber mounts or the spark plugs? THe rubber mounts are 928 110 191 00..if someone knows how to get them from NAPA or somewhere else relatively quickly i'm all ears also

ROG100 08-19-2008 06:40 PM

The rubber mounts is what I was talking about - maybe I got confused.
On the throttle body you need 2 928 110 191 00 and one 928 110 191 03 and I have both in stock.
I do so much business with Porsche that my deliveries from Germany are with me in 48 hours.

Two big flat headed screws with a bit of rubber between them, Porsche only likely $10 or so each.

Precision ignition device (spark plug) $1.84 at ********.

surfdog4 08-19-2008 06:54 PM

close..$6..my diagram (L-jet 1981) shows qty 3 928 110 191 00..the ones i took out were so messed up it was hard to tell if they had once been the same or different (the screw part is the same for sure)

ROG100 08-19-2008 07:03 PM

Correct on the earlier cars 3 at $5.52 each

surfdog4 08-19-2008 07:14 PM

thanks..i'm going to try some local places tomorrow but i might get back to you..i take it you don't normally stock them but can get them quickly?

ROG100 08-19-2008 08:05 PM

I already sold 6 this evening after this thread.
I have one left in stock and can get more in 48 Hrs.
Try the rest and come back to the best. 8>)

I stock most regular 928 parts and am hard to beat on price - ask the forum 8>)

Danglerb 08-19-2008 08:36 PM

Two more standoffs for the fuel pressure thing in front, but shorter or something.

Next time I am in the intake valley I think I will be putting in a knock sensor and a pigtail and worry about hooking it up to something later.

Did someone answer the original question? Copper WR5DC or WR5DC+ for a stock 944 S2?
