J, you'll probably want to post your question as a new thread instead of at the end of thread which resembles a "guess which parts I have for sale" game.
Sorry, but it sounds like your syncros are toast. Pretty common for the older trannies. Your options are to learn how to drive it as is and tolerate it, maybe try an oil change with a quality lube like Redline, which may improve it. Otherwise, you are looking at a rebuild with new syncros or an upgrade to a newer Borg Warner unit. Welcome and best of luck with it. Bil |

Clutch is out of adjustment. There are two friction discs with a plate in the middle, and if everything isn't spaced correctly it drags etc. Generally this requires someone with a LOT of skill on early 928 clutches. Time for a rebuild on the tranny, the older ones tend to be worn out and its not just some syncros that typically need replacing, but a host of this and thats. Best if you start a new thread when you decide to get into it. Chances are good that by continuing to drive it more damage is being done as well. |
Any black floor mats?
|
Most of the major vendors sell the Lloyd's mats for around $100.
|
Mason,
Do you have an early 8 disc LSD? Thanks, Glenn |
Hello Glenn,
Perhaps- Won't know until next week. I have a few different trannys on the way... Lets talk then? |
Whats the price on LSD's, early and late?
|
Brian, If you're shopping for an lsd tranny-please call me. I don't have set prices. Mileage, condition, and price all vary.
thx Mason |
I hate shipping a tranny, was thinking just the LSD, early or late both ok.
Mileage doesn't mean much to me on a transmission, and I know of no reliable rating for condition short of personally driving the car. |
