Do you use your windsheild washer squirters?
 

When I bought my 83 the windshield washers didn't work, obvious broken hoses, and I ordered a couple check valves, but never decided on which tubing was "best" so they still don't work. Does anybody really use their windshield washers?

Pretty important / useful here in the east.

Combo of drizzle and road dirt/spray, on a raked windshield, requires some rinse to clear.

Similar with introduction of snow / slush residues as roads are clearing.

Not the kind of weather you deal with.

I think some northeastern states require they be functional if originally equipped.

You don't need no stinkin' windshield washers in California. It never rains anyways. Mike, just go to the local Kragens and get some of that windshield wiper hose they carry there and be done with it. You should be thinking of which Supercharger to put in.

Mine worked just fine, after I drained the gallon of antifreeze the PO had added to the washer tank.

I disconnected the hose from the nozzles and ran an extension into the plastic jug, then just let the washer pump empty the tank out. Ran a couple gallons of water to flush the system out.

Even though it doesn't rain much here in So Cal, we do sometimes get that light drizzle. You know, enough to make it hard to see but so little that turning on the wipers just smears. The washers come in handy at that point.

I don't use my windshield washers b/c I don't like that fluid getting on the hood.

Also, I don't drive in the rain or when there's a threat of rain. However, I keep Rain-X on the windshield in case I get caught in a shower or drizzle. The wipers are less likely to smear.
