80 alum ball joint -> steel, whats needed?

With a 1980 928 that has aluminum ball joints, what needs to be changed to put in the new steel ball joints?

the only difference is the 2 ecentrics on the bottom. The shock support mount is the same.
the early have 2 different size ecentrics I believe 21mm and 18mm. The later have 2 of the same size. When you have them off you will see 1 weith a larger diameter, you need 2 more of them.

just the ecentrics. The old mount will have longer threads, if that bothers you buy a used set cheap or take a hack saw and remove the extra thread. When I did this on my '82 I just replaced the ecentrics left the extra.

the change over was with the "S" models if I remember correctly.

if you really want to take a step up, you could change out the whole front suspension/brakes for an S4 setup. add S4 calipers and rotors to the back and you're done.....
