Here are some pics of my 2 TONE interior projects...

I am currently working on incorporating the rear 6" speakers so they sit flush in the qtr panel.

I better get my ass in gear finishing all of the interior projects..just spoke with the painter and they are almost done with polishing the new paint .

Looking good David. How about the rest of the interior? Solid or 2 tone seats? Dash? Is that vinyl? Light color material?

The interior is all leather, 1982 928s euro. I do not have the car back front the painter yet to see all of the pieces together.

1. 8 way power seats in burgundy, lower side trim hinge covers were recovered in grey leather. rear seats are burgundy.

2. side panels to rear seats are grey leather as seen in pic #3.

3. Carpet set is in classic grey.

4. Dash , pod and console are burgundy, although i need to recover the dash and pod, thinking of a 2-tone pod ???. Cluster bezel is grey with chrome ring accents.

5. steering wheel is 2 tone, I have pic's around somewhere ??.

6. Rear qtrs's finished in burgundy leather, adapted for a flush mount of 6.5 components.

7..I also have a fabricated a rear cargo panel with 3 BLAUPUNKT amps and a 10" sub that is recessed in the floor. coverd in classic grey carpet.

Yep...I agree gray and burgundy go nicely together. Are you doing the work yourself??? What about the Porsche emblem on the door panels?

Thank you and yes I am doing the work myself. The hardes part was finding the 4mm staples for the panels to use in my gun.

The emblems in the door panels, same as the one in the center of the steeringwheel, I purchaced from an e-bay member several years ago. Had to adapt a mounting for them so could be attached to the panels

Do you do this for a living? Can one sew leather on a home sewing machine??? Wheels are turning here.

Leather on a home machine depends on the machine and the right needle. Most of the panels do not have alot of stitching just contact adhesive. . The thing to do is to get a small lot of leather scraps off of ebay and practice with the machine.

Things go a lot better with not just an industrial machine, but one of the heavy duty ones, maybe something called a "walking" foot.

my upholstery guy has industrial machines, and one home sized machine for small projects.

for my 928 stuff, he has used the industrial machine exclusively.
