Rear Defroster Glass Lines Question?

A couple of those spades that are glued or something fell off. What do you use to glue them back on since they need to conduct current?

If you're good and brave, they can be soldered. I bought some silver conductive epoxy for this purpose though. There are a few on-line retailers or a well equipped electronics store (maybe even Fry's) should have it.

Wow, never heard of silver conductive epoxy. Would radio shack have this? Frys is kinda distant from me.

Wow

What a great idea! I have the same problem. And now the same solution. Happy day!

You know what they say, "Radio Shack, you've got questions, we've got blank stares... and cellphones!"

Couldn't hurt to check or maybe call, but you're probably best off just ordering on-line.

http://www.frostfighter.com/catalog.htm for example.

If you're going to Rob's engine pull party next Sunday I could bring you some.

par tay

An engine pull party and it is not even in my current time zone. Boo hooo. Oh well I guess you will have to drink a beer for me. (after the work as a general policy) Damn, this wrenchin in Houston is getting to be a real buzz kill.

The last time I was in Radio Shack, I said I wanted a "Pot" the saleslady said they don't carry cookware. (true story) In their defense, they did have potentiometers in an organizer. The entire staff seemed really interested that someone was actually buying little electrical parts.....Sigh..... nowadays, my best hope for electrical doo dads and such is frys or the internet.

if that doesn't do it for you, I have a rear hatch glass (out of the hatch) that could use a good home.

glassy eyed

Thanks for the thought, but I just spent an incredible amount of time and effort to rebuild the hatch with original glass in my 924S and the 928 has great glass. I went so far as to apply that blue plastic film stuff to the inside and outside to protect it while I was working. So, I am OK for now. I could use a pair of rear shock towers, though.

OH, just to stay on topic...remember to stick that blue plastic stuff, or whatever to the glass to protect the lines while you work with it.
