Question Is that my torque tube?

Hi all,

I have an '82 Euro with the 3 speed auto. At slow speeds, when I take my foot off the gas, I hear a "mooo" sound. There's a little vibration and goes away quickly. If I shift into neutral, it goes away. Anyone else had their shark sound like a cow?

Thanks!

Sounds like the kick down switch is not working.

no, kick down switch works good. This is a low speed deceleration event - under 20 mph. I'll capture a recording and see if I can post it to this thread.

Cheers

I had the same problem with my 3 speed. I happened to have a sound capture of it. Does it sound like mine?

In neutral on an auto, isn't the torque tube still spinning at engine speed? If that's the case, then I doubt the mooing is coming from the TT, but maybe the trans? Is it coming from the front or rear of the car?
